In the later seasons of Blake's 7, there's an episode where the Federation have taken control of entire planets' populations through the use of a new drug that makes the victim pliable while still useful. I have no idea why I thought this would be a good topic for a filk, unless it was David Walsh's continual use of it as a thread during his Redemption '99 Ruler of the Universe Campaign.
This song has one joke in it, and that is that it's about this episode. Now that you know, it's not funny. Sorry.
And yes, the scanning in the second chorus is a pain. It's supposed to be, since it matches the original, then.

And the people do their work
and they don't ask what it's about.
Their minds are so clear and
So free of any doubt.
The population is drugged,
But not like before.
We've finally found the means
That we've been looking for.
Chorus:
And they'll do
Anything you ask them
And anything they're told
'Cos people do anything
On Pylene control
Pylene control.
And everyone is good and
Everyone is gullible.
And when people are so gullible
They become so meek and malleable.
Malleable is good,
It keeps them good and scared.
We tell them what we want to,
And they still want us there.
Chorus.
(Instrumental)
Malleable is good,
It keeps them good and scared.
We tell them what we want to,
And they still want us there.
Chorus.
Chorus.
